{ OPEN BOOK } ~ "Teaching Illustration" and Algonquin

Steven Heller  and co-author & award-winning Illustrator Marshall Arisman, published a book  entitled: Teaching Illustration.  
the marketing blurb on the back says it all: 

"This unique teaching tool features more than fifty syllabi from leading art and design schools across the country {sic}.....for beginning educators seeking orientation or for veterans seeking new inspiration, Teaching Illustration is an essential read."

Among the syllabi included from the instructors across North America's leading institutions were mine {pp. 3-13} which Mr. Heller deemed "excellent".  

Needless to say, I was deeply honored by the request.  

What made it more special? During the discussions, I suggested including some of the work produced by the students as a nice visual representation of the work produced.  They agreed.
